Online MTS - Get Equipped to Serve Among the Nations

Covenant Theological Seminary Intercultural Studies Degrees

Global Frontier Missions has partnered with Covenant Theological Seminary to offer Associate, Bachelor, Master and Doctor of Ministry in Intercultural Studies degrees. As long as OMTS students successfully complete all coursework, pass all tests with at least a C average, fulfill their ministry hours, and receive an exemplary review from their facilitator, they will be eligible to earn their Bible degree.

Coursework

GFM developed much of the curriculum for Covenant Theological Seminary's Intercultural Studies program. In return, CTS graciously allows GFM's Online MTS graduates to transfer their credits to CTS.

Covenant Theological Seminary Degrees

Students with no prior higher education who successfully complete the GFM Online MTS will earn an Associate of Ministry in Intercultural Studies degree.


Students with the equivalent of an Associate’s degree (60 hours) from previous higher education who successfully complete all required coursework during Online MTS will earn a Bachelor of Ministry in Intercultural Studies degree.


Students with an undergraduate Bachelor degree who successfully complete all required coursework during the Online MTS will earn a Master of Ministry in Intercultural Studies degree.


Students with a Masters degree who successfully complete all required coursework during the Online MTS will earn a Doctor of Ministry in Intercultural Studies degree.


Students are required to submit proof of prior education in the form of official transcripts to the Covenant Theological Seminary office in order to be awarded a degree. It is wise to receive acceptance of official transcripts prior to enrolling in OMTS.

Forms

After successfully completing all 20 modules in the Online MTS, students are required to submit the Covenant Theological Seminary student application as well as the online application for degree form.

Accreditation

Covenant Theological Seminary has been declared by the appropriate state authority exempt from the requirements for licensure under provisions of North Carolina General Statutes Section (G.S.) 116-15 (d) for exemption from licensure with respect to religious education. Exemption from licensure is not based upon any assessment of program quality under established licensing standards. All degrees of Covenant Theological Seminary are of an ecclesiastical nature, and whether granted or conferred, are in the restricted area of religion with the special purpose of preparing persons to work in the area of religion, whether educational or ministerial; they are not designed to be used in general academic circles. Transferability of credits earned at Covenant Theological Seminary and transferred to another institution is at the discretion of the receiving institution. The degree programs of this seminary are designed solely for religious vocations. Credits and degrees earned from independent colleges in the State of North Carolina, which are authorized by the State Board of Independent Colleges and Universities, do not qualify the holder for a state teaching certification, nor do they qualify him or her to participate in professional licensing examinations. Any person interested in obtaining a state teaching certificate or practicing a regulated profession should contact the appropriate regulatory agency in the field of his/her interest. Quality education is the goal at all times. Its purpose is the establishment of quality education in private schools, colleges, and theological seminaries.
